reading a text file from script

I am having a problem getting the verbot to read a text file as an output command. I have tried using quotes with full path after the read command. I have tried it without quote's, I have tried putting it in the same folder (with and without the full path). it will not read it.
Any Ideas?

I just did a quick test using this as the output:

Going to read README.<read README.txt>

(the README.txt was in My Documents\verbot4) and it worked fine.

Can you test the above line to see if it'll work for you?

Yes, it works. It was my fault. I was putting it in COMMAND, not in OUTPUT. Thanks though. Now I know better.
