If you can select it in the MS Agent tab it means it's SAPI 4 compliant, if you see it in the CCS tab it means it is SAPI 5 compliant.

You could check out Cepstral, Loquendo, ScanSoft, AT&T, there are tonns out there, some are cheap, like cepstral, and some are more expensive.

Ok, so if I want to use one of these voice it will be possible with the online verbot ?

And do you know if all these expression from Loquendo will work with verbot ? (see below)

Hello?! Anybody there?! I'm Susan. \_Kiss \_Laugh Do you have a minute?! I'm feeling a bit lonely here. \_Cry-big I think it might help if i talked to someone.
So listen, my voice already sounds pretty fantastic, right?! Guess what?! You can make it sound even better. You can add various effects, \_Oohh or, with a little punctuation, certain phrases become more expressive: that's impossible, or rather, that's impossible!
Well then?! What would you like me to say? I'm all ears!

Since our voices on Verbots Online are all on the server, we need to buy and install any voices we provide, if you are interested in a particular voice let us know and we may be able to get it.

I'm not sure what you are saying, is this a particular loquendo syntax? In the verbot you'd want to play the animations through <agent.play smile> commands.

Hope this helps,

No, it is a way to write to be able to be more natural expressions.

Gilded TTS! A new feature allowing you to enliven your voice prompts with "expressive cues".
A number of greetings, exclamations and interjections are pronounced with a lively intonation if you mark them with a "!". Paralinguistic events can also be produced by means of special tags (\_throat, \_cough, \_mmm, \_smack, \_laugh...).

I'm not really sure, you could try it out, we might need to add special code to handle this, let me know though if you do try it with any sucess.

I will finish my character animations first with CSS.

An other thing.

I just tested Loquendo it's good.

\_Kiss \_Laugh \_Cry-big etc
are equal to "run command" (<run "[dir]DOG08.WAV">etc...)in
Verbot, but much more spontaneous. A good point because
"run command" is slow...

But it seems there are not things like <agent.pause XXX>
<agent.setpitch XXX><agent.setspeed XXX> in Loquendo.

How to have the twice ?...

I don't think we've implemented these commands, they were more for the MS Agent because it provided all that functionality (i.e. for speeding up the voice), so we'll have to figure out how to implement it with the SAPI 5 CCS characters.

If you are asking me, I stop working on characters and voice. For now and until CCS is able to do what Microsoft agent was able to do, I have to wait. So I am working on the intelligence from time to time. :?

topdaryl,
The Idle animation levels feature has just been added to the Conversive Character Studio format, I'm not sure if this gives you eveything you need (we may eventually add the feature to have the character play a sound inside an animation, etc...), but let me know if this at least helps you,
