Looking for Testers

Postby Aaron » Fri Aug 26, 2005 4:53 pm

Hi all!
Conversive is looking for a limited number of testers for our InstantAgent service (aka EasyAgent).

Here's what you'll get:
* a free month InstantAgent account
* a free copy of Verbot 4 Standard Edition (sorry, no rebates for existing owners)

Here's what we will expect:
* thorough testing of the InstantAgent service
* detailed problem reports (covering every aspect of the service: website, user experience, technical issues, bugs, potential improvements, etc...)
(Note: The one thing we do not expect you to test is the payment process. If you want to buy additional time, that's up to you, but we don't require or expect it.)

Here's the disclaimer/fine print:
The InstantAgent service is still in the testing phase of development. Conversive does not make any guarantees or warranties with regard to the InstantAgent service. We are not liable for any damage that may occur in the testing process. All of your data may be deleted or otherwise corrupted. You may waste hours upon hours of your time. Conversive owns any data generated in the testing process. Conversive can cancel the test at any time. Participating in this close testing process does not in any way make you an employee of Conversive. The test account is non-transferable. Conversive can choose who becomes a tester at our whim and may cancel any test accounts that we want.

Post a reply here or private message me if you're still interested in testing. State that you agree to the above terms and conditions, and tell us why you'd make a good tester. If you have any questions, post them before you agree and we will try to answer as soon as possible.

Spending hours with the software, constantly clicking the "these features may not be available ....: " button. Have been with AI since Colosus, the Forbin Project, Am planning to purchase the API anyway...

We should be starting the testing of InstantAgent again soon, we're completely redesigning the flash client customizer, once that's finished we'll be ready to have another beta period.

You can see what is our current product we're improving here:

I'd be up for round two. Round one of testing for me went pretty smoothly. Although, I would need a new Full Verbot. Another hard drive crash. Had to buy a new one. Of course, I didn't have the foresight to make back-ups, so the Full Verbot was gone.

You might want to check out the open source Verbot SDK that's here:

Question: Is that .NET SDK C# or VB.NET ? If it is VB.NET then, at the moment, I wont bother downloading it. No offense... Personally I try to stay away from .NET, especially VB.NET because it is an outsourced skill.

This is not a complaint. It is just that personally, I can't stand having to train an overseas team 8,000 miles away to take over perfectly good project jobs. It is no fun being laid off, and being really good at it, really doesn't matter because in the end it is only a $200 a week job overseas.

My phone has an LCD screen and an embedded microcontroller and a custom keypad, all engineered right into the handle --- really impressive technology!
And I paid $12.99 for it.

I've just adapted to consider knowing .NET , about as important as knowing HTML technology. However, on occasion I do have to virtually "compile" some C# mananged code to register a DLL to extend the functionality of SQL Server 2005.

So, it might be fun to take a look at your SDK. Tell us a little more about it.

It is implemented in C#, we don't like VB either, so no offense taken.
