Hi Georf and thanks for your post :) Might I suggest that you direct this question towards the verbot staff (Aaron, Matt, Jer).

You might also want to check out the "Help section" in the Verbot player itself.

I do very kindly suggest also, that in future you direct any verbot related topics or questions that you may have, to the main forum section of this site, where I'm sure the verbot staff will be more than happy to assist you further on any queries that you may have and thus enlighten you further; as this particular section of the forum is the "offtopics section" where we preferably like to encourage "non verbot" related topics and discussions, it just helps with the maintaining, fluency and consistency of it all and helps to avoid confusions in topic postings as such. Manys thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums and cheers

The help file you are looking for should be located in
C:\My Documents\Verbot4 and named verbot4_editor_help.exe

It can be confusing because help files are usually done with a .chm file extention which has tripped me up a few times when first working with Verbot and trying to find the help file

I Strongly suggest that when you find this file, you copy a link to the file to
C:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Verbot 4 Standard
so you can access it through the start menu, I don't think they put one there and it helps me alot.
Without Imagination,
-there would be no knowledge or wisdom.

Verbot scripting

I wondered about a simple "example" script, for beginners. I have one that's fairly simple, but still needs some trimming, kind of make it more generic.

Use this link for the most current help.

For samples, look in the downloads area. I think Eliza is simple enough to start with.

Much thanks, Aaron. Come to think of it, I did find myself using Eliza and some of the others to get me started.
