CCS Viseme groups Option

Postby topdaryl » Tue Apr 25, 2006 10:48 am

I created an animation called smile1 than a second called smile1_return.

I then linked smile1 to smile1_return. I tested the animation with success changing the speed of the frames.

Then I created a new viseme Group called smile1.
I did not find the way to link this group to the smile1 animation.

I know that I could click in the box Enable Speaking on Each Animation Frame, but I just want to animation the viseme smile1 on the last frame of the animation smile1.

What I want to be able to do is:

Step 1: run animation Smile1.
Step 2: speak (with viseme group smile1).
Step 3: Stop smiling. (smile1_return).

Would this work, make three animations instead of two?

  • Animation 1: Smile, speaking disabled, return animation: smile_speak
  • Animation 2: smile_speak, just one frame with speaking enabled, return animation: smile1_return
  • Animation 3: smile1_return, stop smiling

Ok, so in the case of an ouput with no speaking, it will still do step 1,2,3.

But what about the only frame for the step 2 ? Should it be Viseme 0 (but a position of smile)?

Yeah, I'm not sure exactly how your character is, but for the smile_speak you would probably have one frame, which is the smile, and then you'd probably link it to special "smile" mouth positions,
hopefully this makes sense and I'm not confused on what your trying to do,
