Verbot5 doesn't install on Vista?

Postby robertogilli » Thu Feb 11, 2010 5:04 pm

Hi All,
I am trying to install Verbot5Standard on Vista and it doesn't work. I tried the same file on my old XP pc and it works.
I tried also to "run as administrator" but it is the same. It comes near end and then says: "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected."
Then it delete everything.
Suggestions?
Thank you.

I'm not sure why that wouldn't work, we tested the install on winodws 7 and it worked fine. When I get some time I'll try it on Vista as well, see if I can't figure it out.

I've just tested it on vista and it works, but I needed to make sure my user was in the administrators group, then I chose to run the setup as administrator and it did work.

let me know if this helps,

I'm running Vetbot5 on Vista.

Didn't need to do anything. One odd thing though is that the Verbot main folder is in the Windows vista 'user' area, not the 'Program Files' area.

Exact location of mine is:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Verbot5\main

This is a pretty strange place to install the main files, and I could see this being problematic for many. Especially those using heavy duty disk cleaners, or non-standard drive / partition settings.
