Error With Skins

Postby Mitch38 » Thu Aug 27, 2009 11:41 pm

I get an unhandled exeption anytime I try to save a skin from the editor, and the skins available for download don't work either. I tested it on two different computers with different versions of .NET to no avail. Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks.

Thanks for this report, there were some changes to the skins when we upgraded to Verbot 5, I'll have to take a look to see what the issue is, I'll let you know as soon as I can.

I've found and fixed the problems with the skin editor and have released a new version of the Verbot (5.0.0.3), it should now work for creating and saving new skins.

The problem with opening the skins from Verbot 4 in Verbot 5 is that the xml structure has changed ever-so-slightly, if you open up the old skin files in a text editor you'll notice that the top xml node in the old skins is: Verbot4Skin, in verbot 5 this has been changed to Verbot5Skin, if you manually change this node and then save the file you should be able to open it in the new version.

I'll also look at downloading all the existing skins in the download area and see if I can fix them and re-upload so that they work in the new version.

thanks again,

I've just downloaded and changed all skins in the 'Generic Skins' area and changed them to be verbot5skins and re-uploaded them, so they should all work now.

If there are other skins in other areas or files let me know and I can fix those as well or find the authors and have them fix them.

thanks again,

Player Problem

Postby Mitch38 » Wed Sep 09, 2009 9:04 pm

Hello, thanks for your quick update. The player auto-updated itself, however it acted really funny afterwards (skipped all my startup rules). Am I missing something? I was unable to locate version 5.03 for a manual download. I had to revert back to an older version of the player to get my rules to work properly again.

Thanks for listening,

Mitch

The player keeps auto-updating, which ruins my bot. It works perfectly in the script tester.

Thanks,

Mitch

Fixed!!

Postby Mitch38 » Thu Sep 10, 2009 12:45 am

I traced the problem to my version of .NET. After uninstalling and re-installing it (Version 3), the skins worked perfectly and the strange rule behavior was gone. Thank for all your hard work.
