Strange isn't it? I mean virtual / artificial replication of life-like people able to carry out nearly enough independent thoughts/decisions in a dialogue exchange via our input has always seem to have great implications for future progress and even science. The medical field and so on, maybe Verbot is been stalled as you say by inactivity of membership but the project still has the same attraction for some as it did when first released IMO.
Hopefully some former enthusiasts will return and encourage fresh attention again.
