Daisy is it harmful??

Postby TommyLeePark » Sat Feb 04, 2012 11:29 pm

Hey everyone!
I am a newbie here around, but I am loving the Verbots stuff, i even re installed Windows just to use it (I was using Ubuntu, no speech recongition so...)
My thread title is exactly my question, is the DaisyKB dangerous?? Because I tried to open that and verbot 5 poped up a window saying it was potentialy harmful for my computer... Any explanation on why did that happened??
THANKS

No, not harmful at all. This is very good software.

I guess this was either a virus checker program being over-active, or the message you get sometimes when loading knowledgebases.

Thanks for the reply.
It was a verbot 5 window that appeared yes. But it didn't appear on the other KBs that I tried... Why did it appeared on this one?
I just thoutgh it would be better to check before I used it... Obviously if its here I suppose it has been tried before by other people and it's safe, but better be safe than sorry :)
Any idea why it only appears on this one??

Probably just because of the way it is setup. But none of that stuff is harmful. The knowledge bases are not executable files, and can only be run within the confines of Verbot.

The warnings you are getting are because of the scripts written into the Verbot. It has scripts that allow it to manipulate the OS, doing things such as launching programs [like browsers and such]. Because the Verbot can interact with the OS there are warnings that are listed prior to loading. You can check a box to not be bothered by this in the future.
